The official home of Aero-Gold.com. 0J8 is a 3000’ “Public Use” grass strip located 10 miles west of Gainesville, Florida near the town of Archer. The runway is flanked by ten parcels of land and is home to an enthusiastic, friendly community of aviation enthusiasts flying balloons, ultralights, gliders, experimental and conventional aircraft. Bernard, an owner since the 70’s is Vice President of the Flying-10 camp.
The field is also home to EAA chapter 98 of which Bernard and his son Ben are members.
Visiting pilots are invited to stop in and tie-down at Bernard’s place just south of the midfield tetrahedron. Frank Osborne at Kitty Hawk Aviation even has gas… sometimes. But he always has his guitar! The full-moon pickin’ parties and Kevin Hanna’s bonfires are always a treat!
